A message from the editor

Greetings, and thank you for taking the time to visit Mawj. This magazine has been the culmination of the work of dozens of students, faculty members, and staff, without whom Mawj would not be here. The core mission of Mawj is to offer a novel voice to the student body and foster the spirit of inquiry and scientific interest. This inaugural edition of the magazine offers only a preview of what we hope is to come in the future. We have covered some exciting projects, thrilling conference contributions, and shed the spotlight on the research interests of faculty.
